A Letter From The President

The beginning of the 2009-10 bowling season also marks a fresh start for the Empire State United States Bowling Congress Bowling Association – the newly-formed organization charged with setting the standard of leadership and service to the valued USBC-certified bowlers of our great state.

With that in mind, I would like to introduce myself and our ESUSBC BA board to you via this e-newsletter, and extend our sincere thanks for your continued support of the USBC through your participation in leagues and tournaments in New York State.

Since the association’s inception on May 30, your board of directors and officers has been working diligently to right the ship and put the pieces in place for a successful bowling season. And, I promise you, we’re in this for the long haul. Our goal is to become the best USBC association in the nation by providing unparalleled customer service, well-run and fair tournaments, and innovative programs for our membership.

Furthermore, we wish to see an increase in membership over time and pledge to give you the information you need to tell others about the benefits and fun of belonging to a USBC-certified league such as you’ll find here.

As you read through this newsletter, notice that you are able to access our tournament entry forms – the State Senior Tournament in October and November in Oswego and the State Championship Tournament in April and May in Niagara Falls. As a league bowler for more than 35 years in Western New York, I can tell you I’m excited by the fact that these entry blanks are ready to be distributed to the membership at this time.

In closing (for now), speaking for all of our board members I hope you have a great season and that you will consider supporting our tournaments. As I said at the outset, it’s a brand new ballgame in New York. The Empire State USBC BA is here for one reason and one reason alone – to enhance your bowling experience.
