Honor Score Rolled At State Senior Championships

Date: Wed, Nov 11th, 2009 12:00:00 am

At the 31st New York State Seniors Championships just completed at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego, David Hearn of West Seneca bowled a lofty 866 while competing in the doubles event. The 214 average right hander rolled games on lane 17 and 18 of 289, 299, 278.  Both spares in the first two games were the result of ringing 10 pins.  Together with his partner Sandy  Corbelli of Williamsville, they rolled to a high of 1575.  After coming off a below average set of singles, I asked him what made the difference and said he just made a ball change.  No matter as he is also leading the All Events catagory with a score of 1561. The smooth stroker just seemed to have a line to the pocket.  Hearn was competing in the 65-69 age group. This was David's first career 800 series. The unofficial results are in Click Here to see the list.
