Here’s What You Need to Do

SEPTEMBER 26, 2011 -- Numerous Board of Director positions will be up for election at the Annual Meeting of the New York State USBC, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2012 at The Doubletree (formerly the Wyndham), 6301 State Route 298, East Syracuse, NY, 13057.  

Positions up for election in 2012 are as follows:

-- Vice President (special circumstances apply; see nomination resume form below). Frank Wilkinson of Staten Island is the current vice president.

-- Four Adult Directors. The Adult Director positions held by Karen Krauss of Albany, Dennis O’Donnell of Auburn, Barry Vee of Rochester and Corinthia Ward of the Bronx are up for election.

-- Two Youth Directors. The Youth Director positions held by Mark Ames of Homer and Tom Solimine of White Plains are up for election.

-- 12 Youth Committee members. The Youth Committee positions held by Tom Solimine of White Plains, Paul Terracciano of Hawthorne, Linda Bardol of Tonawanda, Mike Callan of Rochester, Mitch D’Angelo of Elmira, Mark Ames of Homer, Ricki Westcott of Carthage, Brian Palmer of Queensbury, Courtney MacDougall of Waterford, Judy Phillips of Kingston, Anthony Pellegrino of Staten Island and Doc Doctorow of Coram are up for election.

Those interested in running for one of these positions should download this resume form, fill it out and send it to each of those listed on the Nominating Committee by Jan. 15, 2012. Buffalo Native Baker Among USBC Hall of Famers

JANUARY 2, 2012 -- Buffalo native Tom Baker, Dave Husted, Amleto Monacelli and Dede Davidson have been elected to the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in the Superior Performance category. The four players join wheelchair bowler Al Uttecht (Pioneer), Lennie Boresch Jr. and Gary Daroszewski (Outstanding USBC Performance), and Joan Feinblum and the late Kerm Helmer (Meritorious Service), who were elected in November by the USBC Hall of Fame Committee.
